Suvarna Pandey

Suvarna is a registered patent agent and a law graduate. Having been in practice for around 14 years, her specialities include patent searches, patent drafting, and providing patentability and infringement opinions. She has successfully prosecuted numerous patent applications, from filing to grant.

Suvarna also advises businesses in protecting their innovations, working with the R&D departments of companies and supporting them with landscape studies, infringement opinions, and drafting patent applications. Her practice extends to handling opposition and other invalidity proceedings at the Indian Patent Office and the IP Division. Suvarna has worked for a range of clients, from start-ups to multinationals, in the areas of biotechnology, software, and mechanical engineering. She has advised clients on global patent strategy, including Patent Cooperation Treaty applications and national phases in designated countries.

Suvarna has also authored various articles and delivered training sessions in the domain of Indian patent practice.
