Martina Beato, a lawyer specialising in intellectual property at e-commerce company Mercado Libre in Argentina, was picked because of her exceptional legal acumen and unwavering dedication.
Beato manages Mercado Libre’s IP portfolio and handles the online platform’s trademark prosecution worldwide.
Her nominator says Beato’s work ethic and commitment to excellence set her apart.

Beato has previously worked as an associate at Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal and as a paralegal at Badeni, Cantilo, Laplacette & Carricart.
She graduated with a degree in law from the Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires in 2018, the same year she received a prize for academic excellence from Human Rights Watch.
