Frederick Braunstein has been included in this year’s list for his exceptional ability to devise and execute winning strategies from briefing to trial.

He has been described as a human encyclopedia by his nominator, who says: “Fredrick is one of the most outstanding lawyers I have worked with in my career.”

In his role as a senior counsel at online marketplace TaskRabbit, Braunstein manages the company’s litigation and advises the business on a wide range of areas, including intellectual property.

Before joining TaskRabbit in March 2022, Braunstein worked as a commercial litigator at a few different New York law firms for about eight years.

He worked mainly on soft IP-focused lawsuits and represented several celebrities as a litigator. He was, in fact, the lead counsel for American rapper 50 Cent in a copyright and right of publicity suit.

He has also handled patent cases in the past, and worked on a COVID drug dispute shortly before his in-house move.

“IP issues are, of course, critically important to a broad spectrum of businesses around the world,” Braunstein tells Managing IP.

“I look forward to continuing my work in the IP sector while furthering my professional growth as an in-house attorney.”
