Charles Roger only moved to STMicroelectronics in June. While we’re sure he’s done a great job in his three months there, it’s his work at France Brevets, a financial services firm, since 2017 that we want to recognise him for.
According to his former boss, Roger was passionate about intellectual property when he was a senior business manager at France Brevets. He had an appetite to always push the subject matter further, develop new governance models, and offer new strategic recommendations and business models.
“He is a fine gentleman – very smart and enthusiastic, with a true passion for technology and IP, and a strong business and political acumen,” says Didier Patry, CEO of France Brevets in Paris. “He is still young but with a very strong potential.
“We worked closely together on a very large advisory engagement for the office of the prime minister,” he adds.
Before moving to France Brevets, Roger started his IP career as a licensing manager for CNSR Innovation in Paris in 2015.
He got his PhD in materials science and process engineering from Grenoble INP in 2013 and has a master’s degree in IP law.
