Alix Lesage, simply put, is an extremely competent and knowledgeable individual, according to her seniors.
Perhaps most importantly, she understands the importance of intellectual property to companies such as France Brevets, which is why she’s made it onto this year’s list.
“She was very friendly, did the job very quickly and was always available to exchange with me very kindly,” said Catalina Olivos, partner at Santa Cruz IP in Chile and former head of legal at EnergySquare, who nominated Lesage.
In her day-to-day, Lesage drafts, validates and monitors national and international contracts, including assignment contracts and licences, and monitors and manages commercial relations.
She also implements and manages pre-litigation in liaison with operational staff and external advisers abroad, and follows up on litigation in conjunction with external counsel in France.
Lesage graduated from the Université Sorbonne Paris Nord with a master’s degree in intellectual property management and law in 2015.
She started work as an intern at France Brevets shortly after and worked her way up to legal counsel.
