Valipat appoints chief product officer

Yannick Biron has joined IP service provider Valipat as chief product officer. He was formerly head of patents at Snecma

Yannick Biron

In the new position, he will be responsible for the company’s product line, quality control and process optimisation.

At Snecma, Biron managed 10,000 titles covering 3,000 inventions and was instrumental in taking the company and its parent group Safran to a dominant position in France in terms of patent filings.

A French and European patent attorney, he has also worked at Airbus, and was formerly the secretary of the French association of IP professionals (ASPI).
