Veteran IP lawyer Wolfgang von Meibom has joined German prosecution and litigation boutique Vossius & Partner

Von Meibom (right) joins from Bird & Bird, where he chaired the firm’s German operation and co-headed its international IP group. The experienced IP litigator also lectures on IP law. He has a professorship at the People’s University in Beijing and teaches at Munich Intellectual Property Law Center.

His move comes in the same month that four senior lawyers quit Bird & Bird in Sweden to launch their own firm, focusing on technology start-ups.

Von Meibom has authored a number of articles for Managing IP, with topics ranging from the use of expert witnesses, to litigating in Germany.
