Santa may not know if you've been good or not, but OHIM's Observatory on IP Infringement knows that the toys and games industries lose 12.3% of sales, amounting to €1.4 billion annually, to counterfeiting

They are among the key findings of the Observatory's latest sector report. It also found that €850 million of sales are lost in related sectors, and that the cost of counterfeiting is 6,150 direct jobs lost and 13,168 jobs lost in total.

The study covered products including dolls, teddy bears, electronic games, models, action figures, board games and puzzles.
