More countries join trade mark search and classification tools

Tunisia is the latest country to makes its trade mark data available on the TMview search tool.

TMview now includes almost 24.5 million trade marks.

The National Institute for Standardization and Industrial Property of Tunisia became the 36th office to join TMview on October 20. It adds more than 65,000 trade marks to the database, including the first trade marks in Arabic.

TMview now includes almost 24.5 million trade marks. Since launching in April 2010, it has received more than 9 million searches.

Meanwhile, the Icelandic Patent Office and the IP Office of Montenegro have joined TMclass, the goods and services classification tool, bringing two new languages to the system.

The TMclass tool now comprises 41 offices, including OHIM and WIPO.
