Dickinson to leave AIPLA

Todd Dickinson is to stand down as executive director of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) after nearly six years with the association

Wayne Sobon, president of AIPLA, and the rest of the executive committee will provide additional oversight as the search for a new executive director begins.

Meghan Donohoe, chief operating officer, will continue to run the day-to-day operations. Vincent Garlock, deputy executive director, will manage AIPLA's external advocacy efforts and communications.

No details were given about the reason for the departure, but AIPLA said Dickinson looks forward to continued engagement in the intellectual property community. In his time with AIPLA, Dickinson has been a leader in advocacy efforts before Congress, including the enactment of the America Invents Act, its amicus activity in the courts, and its global outreach.
