Orrick adds four former Heller IP partners

Managing Intellectual Property

Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has added four IP partners to its West Coast offices. The attorneys are part of a group of 26 partners joining Orrick from the recently dissolved Heller Ehrman.

Annette Hurst, Elizabeth Goldman, and Patricia Thayer – former co-chair of Heller’s IP litigation practice group – will join Orrick’s San Francisco office, while Mark Parris will join the firm’s Seattle office.

Heller Ehrman announced its dissolution in late September following failed merger talks with Mayer Brown. The decision has already resulted in large staff acquisitions by Arnold & Porter, Cooley Godward Kronish and Covington & Burling.
