Australia: IP Australia and the IP Office of New Zealand have announced the results of the first stage of a project to explore the possibility of aligning trade mark examination practice in the two offices. Stage two involves a concurrent examination of 300 applications and the completion of a paper to consider the feasibility of prior recognition of work. It will be completed by April 2008.
