Lloyd Wise exodus continues

Managing Intellectual Property

The former senior partner of Lloyd Wise is the latest attorney to leave the firm following its merger with Marks & Clerk.

Paul Bowman, who had worked at the firm for 35 years and been a partner for 27 years, has joined Mathys & Squire as of counsel. He will work in the firm’s life sciences and chemistry group.

In October, two Lloyd Wise partners joined Reddie & Grose.

Lloyd Wise merged with Marks & Clerk on November 1. Prior to the merger, it had 40 patent and trade mark attorneys offices in London, Manchester, Singapore, Beijing and Hong Kong.

At the time the merger was announced, Bowman told Managing IP: "We had decided about two years ago that a merger would be of assistance as we were of in-between size in the UK."
