Managing copyright in the digital era

Technological advances are putting copyright law under pressure in India. Poorvi Chothani assesses where the courts are likely to draw the line

India, like many countries, is trying to extend copyright law concepts originally intended to protect relatively conventional artistic works to a new digital era. After outlining the country's statutory regime, we will consider how the courts in India are likely to apply the law to new forms of content and copyright.
