Howrey Simon Arnold & White has announced the creation of an
affiliate company, intellectual asset manager MAXIAM.
The firm said MAXIAM would provide strategic advice for clients
to help manage their intellectual assets including patents, trade
marks, copyrights, trade secrets, brands and business methods.
"MAXIAM is unique in that it brings together for the first time
world-class business, legal and technical capabilities under one
roof," said Roger May, head of the new company.
Before taking charge of MAXIAM, May was founder, president and
chief executive officer of Ford Global Technologies, an
intellectual property and intellectual asset management subsidiary
of Ford Motor Company.
Joining May at MAXIAM will vice presidents Paul Davis and John
Koepke. Davis joins from Accenture, while Koepke was a consultant
at McKinsey & Company.
According to the firm, MAXIAM, headquarted in Chicago, will work
with Howrey's partners whenever it needs to call on their
services.
