Andrew Gowers, whose long-awaited review of the UK's IP regime was published earlier this month, is to take part in a panel discussion hosted by Managing Intellectual Property, in association with Lovells, on January 30.
Gowers will join Patents Court judge Mr Justice Pumfrey and a panel of IP owners, lawyers and academics to discuss his Review, and the 54 recommendations he made in it for reforming the UK system.
Among the topics for discussion will be the new role of the UK Patent Office, how the recommendations will be implemented, and what IP reform means for SMEs, large corporations and IP users. The evening will provide an opportunity for the panellists to share their views on the Review's findings, and for members of the audience to question Gowers on his report.
The discussion will be held at Lovells, Atlantic House, Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2FG and starts with a drinks reception at 5.30.
It will also be supported by the Stockholm Network.
Places are limited so register your interest here as soon as possible.
